A new decal kit is perhaps the most affordable way to make your bike look as good as new again. Twenty Shape also succeeds with the difficult task of being both discrete, and stand out!
The decal kit consists of the following parts:
- Radiator shrouds
- Fuel tank (depending on model)
- Front fender
- Rear fender
- Fork protectors
- Number plate
- Side panels/Air box cover
- Swing arm
IMPORTANT! If your decal kit contains a tank decal it must be perforated! Otherwise, there is a great risk that it will become bubbly due to gasoline vapors. This is easily done with a razor blade BEFORE mounting.
Also note that we are not able to match the colors of the decals with the color of the original plastic.
The decals are manufactured in our own state-of-the-art printing plant and are of the highest standard.
After the decal has been printed with digital printing, it is laminated with a very strong and transparent plastic material that protects against wear.
After this, an acrylate-based glue is applied which causes the decals to stick hard, yet being removable without leaving any glue residue on the covers.
Installation of the decal kit:
Be sure to clean your plastic first. Pre-decal cleaner gives best results but brake clean also works.
This also applies to new plastics, which have oil residues on the surface after manufacture.
The decals should be mounted at room temperature.
Then make sure the decal is well centered on the cover before you start pasting it, when you are satisfied with the fit, remove the protective film in one corner of the decal, and then slowly press the decal firmly.
It is good to have a small cloth / sponge to push with that easily slides over the decal.
Carefully move forward with a gentle pressure in straight lines to avoid air bubbles.
For the heavily curved / shaped covers you can heat the decal gently with a hair dryer / heat gun to make it more compliant.
After mounting, allow the plastic to rest for 24 hours at room temperature before driving the first time, so that the decals get attached really well.
