Alpinestars approach to the creation of the advanced technology in the M10 draws on its depth of experience from over half a decade of world-class innovation across the spectrum of motorsports and especially, its deep-rooted commitment to motocross. As with all other categories of technology that Alpinestars has mastered, bringing a new, highly complex, product to fruition requires specialist experience and know-how and a project plan led by the best brains in protection development.
Hence Alpinestars Helmet Development Department was created and given the brief to research and develop the most protective, most comfortable and lightest possible motocross helmet. The goal was to allow riders to push the limits of performance, benefiting from confidence-inspiring safety technology, reduced weight distribution to minimize muscular effort in the neck, shoulders and back and improved physiological and cognitive performance with a supremely well-fitting and well-ventilated construction, optimizing comfort while riding.
Features:
• 3K Carbon, high-density carbon outer shell
• Uni-directional carbon composite layer
• The M10 shell construction is optimized to offer the best fit across the range of four size options
• EPS liner
• Multi-density EPS polymer, the energy absorbing layer gives an inner helmet profile which soaks up impact forces dissipated over the outer shell
• Patented system to allow the helmet to be tuned exactly to the rider’s preference for the height and angle at which the helmet sits on the head
• Micro-adjustable pad that is connected to the helmet's inner shell
• Visor release is a key part of overall protection performance in the helmet
• Post-crash protection mechanisms allow rapid and safe intervention if the rider has suffered a major impact
• Mips to reduce rotational motion energies that impact the helmet causing damaging gyration force to be transmitted to the brain
• A low friction ‘slip’ layer is incorporated into the M10 helmet, between the comfort padding layer and the multi-density polymer energy absorption shell
• Emergency Release System Along with the ERS padding removal, allows for emergency removal of the helmet
• Double D-ring closure for safety that keeps helmet strapped and always closed
• Ventilation System to direct airflow and smooth the flow into the shell
• Removable liner cover is washable and features a cool-max fabric interior and anti-bacterial talent
• Helmet features TPE coating washable surfaces to improve maintenance and increase durability
• Weight: 1240g for size Medium
• Complies with ECE 22.06

Anatomically engineered and profiled specifically for youth and younger riders, the all-new SM3 Youth is optimized for MX, Enduro and Off-road use, and features a whole raft of technologies and innovations taken from Alpinestars range of adult helmets to deliver the optimal blend of performance, protection and comfort.
This lightweight helmet features a thermo-injected shell incorporating a special polymer blend enhanced by varying degrees of thickness that is engineered to deliver the optimal combination of impact protection and light weight. Lightweight outer shell is constructed from a technologically advanced impact resistant thermoplastic in three sizes (Youth Small, Youth Medium and Youth Large. The SM3 Youth weighs 1060 grams.
The fit can be tailored to the rider’s head thanks to the helmet’s crown and cheek pads, which are available as genuine spare parts in different thicknesses. Youth Medium and Youth Large sizes share the same EPS size, which allows riders with an YM size to initially buy an YM helmet and then configure it to a Youth Large size as they grow via the crown and cheek pad spare parts. The Youth Small has a smaller EPS size and can be customized only via the cheek pads. Alpinestars extensive research has shown that the kids that wear a YS size are very small, typically 3 to 4 years old, and therefore they require a dedicated helmet fit.
Multiple density inner liner ensures the helmet is equipped with the correct density in the correct area for enhanced impact absorption, while also helping reduce overall weight. The inner and outer surfaces are engineered to minimize the effects of oblique impacts. Alpinestars patented low friction coating is applied to the inner part of the main EPS liner to reduce the rotational acceleration forces that can result from certain oblique impacts. This layer essentially acts as a slip plane to mimic the brain’s own low friction cerebrospinal fluid, which is the body’s natural defense against oblique impacts.
Patented visor release system ensures the visor is released with the correct pre-determined amount of force, effectively reducing the forces on the rider’s neck during an impact. Comfort liner is constructed using recycled materials for a lower carbon footprint. Hydration tube channels are integrated into the helmet’s cheek pads for convenience and performance.
Helmet complies with ECE 22.06 standard.
